The Guildhall was the traditional seat of government in Beverley from 1501 until the late 20th century. The building has splendid rooms, including a courtroom with stucco ceiling and panels by Guiseppe Cortese dating from 1762, and historic furniture that has been in place since it was acquired in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Burton Constable Hall is set in 300 acres of natural parkland landscaped by Capability Brown and has been the home of the Constable family for over 400 years. This truly hidden gem offers unrivalled access to more than 30 rooms and its interiors of faded grandeur are filled with collections of exquisite furniture, paintings and sculpture, a library of 5,000 books and a remarkable 18th century 'cabinet of curiosities', which contains fossils, natural history specimens and the most important collection of scientific instruments to be found in any country house.
